Creating space for exploration and healing.

As a C-IAYT yoga therapist, I utilize the ancient tools and practices of yoga to specifically address an individual's needs. Through movement, breath, meditation, rest, and self-study, I work together with clients to address and adapt to the common issues we face as humans. “Yoga is not what we do, but who we are”, (Susan Barkataki, 2025) You do not require any special clothing or tools to practice yoga, so please, come as you are. All are welcome here!

Who I Am / How I Work

The Tradition of Yoga
“Yoga is an Indigenous tradition that predates caste and religion. It originated in what was known as the Indus Valley, which is now present-day Afghanistan, northwestern India, and Pakistan" (Harpinder Kaur Mann, 2025). I did not create the tools of yoga, but with years of sincere and dedicated study and compassion, I am able to share these practices in a safe, friendly, and easygoing environment where you are free to learn how to integrate yoga into all aspects of your life.
The Difference Between Yoga and Yoga Therapy
A yoga teacher typically guides a GROUP through a class, offers options and alternatives, and tries to create an environment that is safe and comfortable for a variety of needs and accessibilities. As a yoga therapist, I do everything a yoga teacher would do, as well as create a plan to address an INDIVIDUAL’S specific needs and goals with deeper application of the ethics and philosophy. I am also able to give one-on-one assistance, feedback, and guidance throughout the entire session.
Anyone can benefit from yoga therapy!
Yoga therapy can help individuals adjust to life transitions, relieve symptoms of stress and anxiety, increase mobility, help address chronic physical and emotional pain, build physical and emotional strength, decrease symptoms of chronic illness or disability, and regulate the nervous system. Yoga is a system for living that can help you feel better physically, emotionally, and spiritually, whatever your circumstances or current state of health.
Free Phone or Online Consultation
To help you decide if yoga therapy is the right fit for you, you can choose to schedule an appointment directly, or start with a brief phone conversation where I will give you an overview of what to expect at your sessions and answer any questions you have. We will also review pricing options (I use the scale below) and discuss how you want to schedule your sessions to meet your needs.
Initial Intake and Assessment
Before your first appointment you will complete a detailed intake form which will ask questions about how you currently feel physically, energetically, emotionally, and spiritually, as well as any issues you'd like to address with yoga therapy. This information helps me to create a treatment plan that is specifically designed to help you reach your goals and is the foundation of our work together.
Individual Sessions
Sessions can be 60 or 90 minutes long and will include most of the following practices in whichever combination serves you best that day: some form of movement (asana) that helps you work towards your long-term goals and that works with the energy level and needs you have that day, yoga ethics/philosophy, pranayama (working with breath/ energy), meditation, mantra or affirmation, visualization or guided meditation, and rest. EVERY SESSION INCLUDES REST/ RESTORATIVE PRACTICES!

Why I Believe in Yoga Therapy

According to the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT), “Yoga therapy is the professional application of the principles and practices of yoga to promote health and well-being within a therapeutic relationship that includes personalized assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices for individuals or small groups." Yoga has personally helped me to find confidence, physical strength, and flexibility, as well as emotional resilience, humility, and compassion for myself and others. It has given me the tools to handle life's inevitable struggles with discernment and flexibility, and my purpose as a Yoga Therapist is to hold space for others in a way that is inclusive, supportive, and compassionate. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner, or this is your first time experiencing Yoga, there is a place for you in this practice and I invite you to come as you are. I am not here to "fix" you, but guide you, through the teachings of Yoga, so that you gradually learn to trust your inner knowing and connect with your true Self. Together, we will explore YOUR path to yoga and healing, and I am so excited to join you on your journey!
